Job Title:        Research Analyst – Sectoral/ Microeconomics (1 Post)

Age Limit:     28-35 years of age

            Reports to:     Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

The Research Analystprogram offers career development opportunities to holders of masters in economics, agricultural economics or related economic field.

Main Role;

  1. Undertake empirical economic policy research and analysis
  2. Engage in commissioned work for and on behalf of the Centre
  3. Based on research findings and sound analysis, contribute to national policy discourse

Job Requirements:

Candidates for the Research Analystprogram should be Ugandans and must have the following:-

  1. A Minimum of Master’s degree by coursework & research in economics, agricultural economics or related economic field from a recognized university;
  2. Strong training background in economic theory and methods
  3. Demonstrated ability to apply economic theory and methods to investigate empirical issues
  4. Abreast with current global and national economic issues
  5. Excellent writing and presentation skills
  6. High-level interpersonal skills and good communication skills
  7. Willingness and ability to work to tight deadlines in a competitive environment, and
  8. Demonstrated ability to use STATA, EViews, GAMS or GAUSS for data analysis
  9. Work experience of at least 2 years in a reputable institution/ organization
  10. Unquestionable integrity

The Research Analyst position offers a contract for three (3) years, with a possibility for renewal subject to satisfactory performance. Attractive and internationally competitive remuneration package including healthcare coverage is offered.
